Kbee Has Shut Down

We're sad to announce that Kbee has been forced to shut down due to Google's new requirements.

Why Did This Happen?

Google has implemented new security requirements for third-party applications that access Google Drive. These requirements include mandatory third-party security audits that cost over $20,000 annually.

As a small team, we simply cannot afford these ongoing audit costs, which forced us to make the difficult decision to shut down Kbee.

What This Means for You

  • • All Kbee subscriptions have been refunded.
  • • Your existing Kbee wikis may still be accessible if they are public. Private wikis are no longer accessible.
  • • All data remains safely in your Google Drive folders
  • • You can continue using your Google Drive content as before
  • • No data has been lost or compromised

Future Plans

Open Source

We plan to open source Kbee's codebase so the community can continue development and self-host the solution.

Self-Hosted Version

A self-hosted version will eliminate dependency on Google's third-party requirements.
